Environmental Health Division -- Tips for Completing a Vacant Land Evaluation
 

To avoid delays, revisits and the possibility of evaluation of the wrong property, your application must include the following information and be accompanied by a check or money order for the correct fee amount.

You must supply the following INFORMATION:

• property tax number - may be obtained from your property tax bill or receipt, Township Office, or County Equalization Office
• subdivision and lot number, if applicable
• township and section number
• driving directions to site - including road name, distance and direction in feet or 1/10 mile from nearest road

You must supply a SITE PLAN that shows:

• landmarks - building, trees, fences, signs, etc.
• property dimensions
• site location to be tested

Complete this field work PRIOR to our site visit:

• mark lot corners and lot lines
• flag the lot so it is easily identifiable from the road
• flag the area you would like us to evaluate
• Miss Dig (800-482-7171) MUST be called and site flagged prior to our arrival
