The Benzie – Leelanau District Health Department will be holding adult walk in flu and pneumonia vaccine clinics as follows:

Benzie Health Department Office, Wednesday, October 17 and Friday October 26th from 8:30-11:30 am and 1:15 -3:30 pm

Leelanau Health Department Office, Monday, October 15 and Tuesday, October 23rd from 8:30-11:30 am and 1:15-3:30 pm

The cost of the flu vaccine is $30 or Medicare Part B. The cost of the Pneumonia vaccine is $45 or Medicare Part B. Please make sure you bring your Medicare card with you.

Based on recommendations from the CDC, the following people should get the flu vaccine: Any person 50 years of age or older, children 6 mos – 5 years of age, persons with chronic health conditions, pregnant women, health care personnel, and caregivers of of persons who are high risk for flu. However, there are no restrictions on flu vaccines this year and they are available for anyone 6 months of age and older.

Children 18 and younger must receive their flu vaccine in our regularly scheduled immunization clinics. To schedule an appointment, call 882-2106 in Benzie County and 256-0200 in Leelanau County.
