Social Worker (Leelanau County)

Benzie-Leelanau District Health Department is seeking a Social Worker for our Leelanau County office to work in our Maternal Infant Health and Parenting Communities programs. This 5 day a week position will allow you to make a difference in your community by providing home-based therapeutic services to families as well as supporting our multi-disciplinary team internally, and participating in regional efforts to improve access to mental health care. We are a close-knit integrated team of professionals who share a passion for community health, and an understanding of the importance of Early Childhood relationships and experiences. Our ideal candidate is a fully licensed LMSW, with Infant Mental Health Endorsement, residing in Leelanau County, however we are open to considering other options, depending on experience and expertise.

Environmental Health Sanitarian I/II (Leelanau County)

Benzie-Leelanau District Health Department has a full-time Sanitarian opening within the Land Use area of the Environmental Health Division.

Primary functions of this position will be focused in the on-site wastewater, drinking water, and land development programs including issuance of permits, inspections of water wells and septic systems for real estate transactions, and other environmental health related programs.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Biology, Geology, or related field. 

Salary range: $55,458 - $77,298 annually (based upon work experience and certifications/licensure).
