Why Early Childhood Matters

Other Organizations focused on Early Childhood Learning that Parenting Communities works closely with: 
  • Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners. In Leelanau County, funding is provided by the 2019 Early Childhood Millage. To sign your child up to receive free books, click here 
  • Leelanau Early Childhood Development Commission’s  mission is to provide families with access to a high quality, comprehensive, accountable system of care and early childhood experiences for all children, birth through age five.
